What Can You Do About Junk Science?
So far, we've seen a few examples of junk science and few of the ways that you can recognize it.
But, what can you really do about it? The first thing to do know where to go for good science in order to debunk the bad. Here are a few good sites to check out:

American Council on Science and Health: A consumer education consortium of 350 physicians, scientists, and policy advisers with expertise in food, nutrition, chemicals, etc.

Competitive Enterprise Institute: A nonprofit think tank dedicated to advancing the principles of free enterprise and limited government. Areas of expertise include air pollution, biotechnology, food, chemical and environmental risk, etc.

: Seeks to broaden the parameters of public policy debate to allow consideration of limited government, individual liberty, free markets and peace. Expertise air, water, and land issues as well as risk analysis and assessment.
